Labour reshuffling
Like trying to mop up the Conservative mess with a wet paper towel, Keir Starmer is utterly pointless.
I'm not quite sure what his politics are, he seems to only take aim and fire shots at Boris and the Tories when it is popular opinion to do so, when he knows he'll be safe from any media back lash. Perhaps, this is his misguided attempt to appear slightly more electable, not going too far left in an attempt to win over a few disenfranchised Tory voters. In other words, he's playing the game. How disappointing; for someone like myself who has always been on the left, to feel that the current Labour leader would rather be a weak lefty and win a few straggling floater voters, who may have shifted left anyway due to the state of the Conservatives, than to stand up strong and speak unapologetically on behalf of the hard working people Labour should be representing like other members of his party. Keir is like a lolly pop lady who has forgotten to bring his stick to work, only with less respect and authority, waving at cars driving by on both sides while he stands in the middle of the road. More bland than Korma and weaker than a nun's piss, Keir Starmer has less balls than his deputy Leader.
I do a lot of Tory bashing, and rightly so, but the Labour Party are far from perfect. If it wasn't for such a weak opposition perhaps the Tories would not have been allowed to run riot and the country would not be in it's current state.
So, while watching current events unfold this morning, it boggles my mind than Keir would choose to undermine his deputy as he leaves Angela in the dark. He did not tell her about plans for a reshuffle, on Times Radio this morning when asked about it Angela said, "I'm not aware of any plans for a reshuffle, I haven't been consulted..." she then ended her answer with "I reckon that Keir would tell me first, yeah."
So what's going on here, why has Keir chosen to leave his deputy leader out of the loop, you would think it's quite an important detail to know about, especially before the radio interview and her speech this morning. It would appear that Keir is quite happy for Angela to shout about everything he should be working against, Tory corruption, NHS privatisation, broken promises to the North because that way he doesn't have to do it himself or take any of the heat. Then, if all goes tits up, he can just distance himself from Angela the same way he distanced himself from Jeremy Corbyn, in order to remain in front, in order to continue playing the game with no risk to himself.
I guess we can only wait with bated breath to see what Labour have in store....
