Hunger strike

To ask me what I'd strike for
Is to ask me what I stand for
And to ask me what I stand for
Is to ask me who I am

I am strong.
Strike! now while the iron is hot
Do not! Turn away, ignore my message
Pretend I do not exist, fingers in your ears but you still see

I am valued.
Strike! now or forever hold your peace.
Do not! Say you can not! hear me
That you do not know me, spin your web of lies and hypocrisy

I am armoured.
By my morals, though I sit here alone.
I am supported by the principles
I hold up, till yours are overthrown
(Held up till she is home)

Peace and justice will prevail
No matter how frail
You may be a force of power
By I will not ever cower
I fight now with all my might
I make my stand by sitting here
I will do what is right

My morals hold up me up
My principles will never falter
My values give me freedom
So no more food only water

To ask me what I'd strike for
Is to ask me what I stand for
And to ask me what I stand for
Is to ask me who I am
