Things we could all do without:

I think I could do without

Expensive meals, dinner suits and champagne

I think I could make do without

Gifts from big businesses and the odd trip to Spain

I think I could live quite happily without

Bribery and lies for financial gain

I think life is better without

Private schools, paid tuition, personal planes

I could probably even get by without

Several different Holiday homes

I’d be just about fine without

The latest gadgets, laptops, phones

But what I cannot go without

Is food for my kid

Heating for my house

Having a decent place to live

What I couldn’t go without

Is a minimum living wage

Employee rights, unions

Fair trade ‘n’ sick pay

I’d hate for my child to go without

A decent education

Life would be pretty difficult without

Buses, trains, police stations

I definitely would have struggled in life without

My teachers and my state school 

Finally, I know I could not live without the NHS!

Cause without it I might not be here at all…
