Round and round

'The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round...'

Can't count how many times I've heard that little tune this morning. My son has been repeatedly poking the button on his new book. A book he regretfully got for his 1st birthday. He can't even read yet, but luckily for me that hasn't deterred him. His morning mission: To memorise the melody to the first two lines of 'wheels on the bus'. Clever enough to keep pressing that same sodding button, over and over again. Yet it only plays the first two lines of the song each time. Whoever made the book clearly had no thoughts for my sanity.

Is this a form of torture? I wonder to myself. Forced to listen to the same thing, like Chinese water torture for the ears.

As the torment in my living room continues I step away, I can't help but liken it's effects on me to that of the news. My mind goes through a very similar process whenever Boris & Co open their mouths. The wheels on the bus truly do go round and round, in circles, non answers and the same old tired excuses.

Will it ever end?

Apparently not. Lie after lie after lie.

I once heard that there are more stars in the universe than all the grains of sands on all the beaches on earth, and interestingly enough there are more lies in Boris' mouth than there are stars in the universe.

Boris deWaffle-on Johnson is a racist narcissistic liar. A man without shame.

'..likely to be drunk, criminal, aimless, feckless and hopeless'..

That's not me describing Boris by the way, those are the words he used to describe working class men. Ironically.

See, unsurprisingly, Boris doesn't care, or even pretend to care, about you. He doesn't care about you or your family. 'Let the bodies pile high', he said.

He doesn't care about your schools. He doesn't care about your hospitals. He doesn't care about anything that doesn't affect him. The man doesn't care about his own family, let alone yours.

And it appears he is not the only one. While NHS workers are taking a real terms pay cut and will now have to pay for parking at the hospitals they work in, it would seem that MPs in the house think it acceptable for them to receive a pay raise and get free parking on top of all their expenses! Leading the way as head of this topsy-turvy agenda, Rishi Sunak.

Sunak is living proof of class ignorance. The richest MP in parliament genuinely believes cutting VAT on solar panels is an effective measure to help deal with the current cost of living crisis. Like a plaster on a stab wound.

Excuse me mate! But the people who can afford solar panels are not the ones struggling to eat, basic logic, basic common sense.

As someone who has never had to worry about money himself, Sunak has made the political choice to plunge children and families up and down the country into poverty.

No, the 5p cut to fuel duty won't help, you thick headed heartless f*ck.

You must either have absolutely no idea of the real consequences of your actions, living some warped, upper-class twit of a delusion, or you simply do not care. Either way, I'm not sure what is worse.

I keep hearing the Tories say thing like' want people in work', yet many on universal credit are already working. People using food banks are working! The truth is work isn't working because work doesn't pay.

The state of the UK today is beginning to resemble that of a Dickens novel, slowly receding itself way back to the Victorian era, with most people now finding themselves one gas bill away from the poorhouse.

It sickens me more that all this is happening while utility companies stand to make more money than ever.

The poor get poorer and the rich get richer. For as long as the Tories are in power, things will only get worse. Round and round, round and round.
